Can there be mistakes on passport application? ›

Even a small mistake—such as from a data or printing error—can result in an incorrect passport application that can delay or thwart your travel plans entirely.

The Postal Service's role is to accept passport applications at designated facilities, ensure all application documents are correct, and submit documents to the State Department. The Postal Service and State Department have an interagency agreement that governs passport acceptance.

They dont specify on that form whether to use a Last Name/ First Name or First Name/Last Name format on the boxes provided.

Some reasons to deny a passport include: A valid, unsealed federal warrant of arrest. A federal or state criminal court order. A condition of parole or probation forbidding departure from the United States (or the jurisdiction of the court)

Provide acceptable evidence of U.S. citizenship. Include your name change document (such as marriage certificate, divorce decree, or court order) if your current name is not the same as the name on your most recent passport.

You'll usually get your passport within 3 weeks.

Check out these steps: Access the online appointment system via the DFA website at www.dfa.gov.ph and then click on the Book an Appointment link. But you can also go straight to the DFA passport appointment system at passport.gov.ph/appointment. Start an individual or group passport appointment.

However, walk-in applicants may only be accommodated once applicants with appointments are processed. For the convenience and safety of the public, the Consulate recommends setting an appointment for passport at passport.gov.ph.

Can I cancel a USPS passport appointment? ›

If you need to modify or cancel your appointment, click the Manage Appointments tab and enter your confirmation number and email address or phone number. At the self-service kiosk, touch the screen to begin, then select "Other Services," then "Passport Scheduler."

All Acceptance Facilities must use USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate envelopes (EP14F) OR USPS Priority Mail Express Flat Rate envelopes (EP13F) when mailing passport applications to the Department of State. No other form of trackable mail will be allowed for mailing passport applications.
